The Amity Film Festival 2026, organized by the Amity School of Communication, Amity University Patna, was successfully conducted on 16th and 17th April 2026, emerging as a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, and experiential learning.
The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across numerous schools, colleges and Universities with more than 150 film entries received in categories such as film, documentary, animation, and reel making. The films have been received from renowned institutions like FTII, Pune, Satyajit Ray Film & TV institute, Whistling woods among various other reputed institutions.
Day-1
The festival was elevated by the gracious presence of distinguished guests including Sushri Maithili Thakur, renowned Folk Singer and Member of Legislative Assembly, Bihar; Shri Pranav Kumar, IAS, Managing Director, Bihar State Film Development & Finance Corporation.
Day-2
Mr. Chandan Roy, acclaimed actor and Shri Anand Kaushal, Senior Journalist and PR Expert, IPRD graced the event on the 2nd day. Their insightful addresses and interaction with students served as a source of inspiration, offering practical perspectives on creativity, media, and performing arts.
In addition to film screenings, a series of engaging sub-events—including Group Dance, One Act Play, Talent Treasure, and Battle of Bands—added immense energy and enthusiasm to the festival. These events provided students with a platform to showcase their performing arts skills, encouraging confidence, teamwork, stage presence, and artistic expression. Each performance demonstrated dedication, creativity, and competitive spirit, making the festival lively and memorable.
Amity Film Festival 2026 not only celebrated cinematic and performing arts but also fostered creativity, collaboration, and confidence among young learners. It successfully created an inspiring environment for talent recognition and skill development, leaving a lasting impact on all stakeholders and setting a high benchmark for future editions.
